199 more COVID-19 cases detected in Telangana, tally stands to 2,698

Telangana has witnessed a record high number of coronavirus cases in a single day on Sunday. A total of 199 coronavirus cases were reported on Sunday, according to the Health Bulletin. Out of these, 196 covid-19 cases were from the state while 3 more were for migrant workers. 

The total number of coronavirus cases in the state reached 2,698. The local bulletin, however, states 2264 in the Health Bulletin.



However, on Sunday, five others were pronounced dead with Coronavirus. This has resulted in the death toll of Coronavirus to 82.

The number of coronavirus cases detected on Sunday is also alarming in the districts. 122 in GHMC, 40 in Rangareddy district, 3 cases in Mahabubnagar, Jagitala and Medak districts, 10 in Medchal district, 9 in Khammam, one each in Suriyapet, Janagama, Nirmal and 2 cases in Warangal Urban.
