In Meghalaya, 200 new COVID-19 cases were registered yesterday taking the total active cases to 2209 while 74 new recoveries were made bringing the total recovered cases to 4393.
Director of Health Services, Dr Aman War has informed that out of the 200 new cases, 126 are from East Khasi Hills, 44 from Ri-Bhoi, 12 from West Garo Hills, eight from West Jaintia Hills, six from South West Garo Hills, two from South West Khasi Hills, one
each from North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills districts.
Out of the 74 new recoveries, 50 are from East Khasi Hills, 10 from West Garo Hills, eight from East Jaintia Hills, four from North Garo Hills and two from Ri-Bhoi districts.
Meghalaya has so far detected a total of 6656 COVID 19 cases out of which 4393 are recovered, 2209 active and 54 deceased.
