2,273 new Covid-19 cases reported in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,273 new Covid-19 infections and 12 fatalities on Tuesday, taking the overall toll to 996 and the cumulative number of cases so far to 1,62,844. As on Tuesday, the total active Covid-19 cases in the State are 30,401.

A total of 2,260 persons recovered by Tuesday, taking the recoveries in the State to 1,31,447 with a recovery rate of 80.71 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 78.52 percent.

Between Monday and Tuesday, the health authorities conducted 55,636 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 883 samples are awaited. Overall, so far authorities have conducted 22,76,222 Covid-19 tests in the State.

There are 23,569 patients under home isolation across the State while 6,832 positive cases are in institutional



care.

The Covid-19 cases reported from the districts include 19 from Adilabad, 56 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 325 from areas under the GHMC, 50 from Jagtiyal, 33 from Jangaon, 21 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 21 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 68 from Kamareddy, 122 from Karimnagar, 97 from Khammam, 24 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 42 from Mahabubnagar, 57 from Mahabubabad, 38 from Mancherial, 24 from Medak, 164 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 22 from Mulugu, 33 from Nagarkurnool, 175 from Nalgonda, three from Narayanpet, 36 from Nirmal, 91 from Nizamabad, 47 from Peddapally, 40 from Rajanna Sircilla, 185 from Rangareddy, 58 from Sangareddy, 91 each from Siddipet, 73 from Suryapet, 24 from Vikarabad, 32 from Wanaparthy, 33 from Warangal Rural, 114 from Warangal Urban and 55 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
