2,478 new Covid-19 cases found in Telangana

Telangana State has recorded 2, 478 new Covid-19 infections and ten fatalities till Thursday, taking the overall toll to 866 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1, 35, 884. As on Thursday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 32, 994.

A total of 2, 011 persons have recovered by Thursday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1, 02, 024 with a recovery rate of 75 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 77 per cent.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, the health authorities conducted 62, 543 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 2, 274 samples are awaited. Overall, so far authorities have conducted 16, 05, 521 Covid-19 tests in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 1, 35, 884 have tested positive and 1, 02, 024 persons have recovered.

of 32, 994 active cases, are under home isolation across the State while 7, 264 positive cases are in institutional care.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from all the districts include 37 from Adilabad, 86 from Bhadradri, 267 from areas under GHMC, 79 from Jagtiyal, 51 from Jangaon, 24 from Bupalapally, 36 from Gadwal, 85 from Kamareddy, 129 from Karimnagar, 128 from Khammam, 16 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 48 from Mahabubnagar, 50 from Mahabubabad, 69 from Mancherial, 42 from Medak, 190 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 44 Mulugu, 48 from Nagarkurnool, 135 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 44 from Nirmal, 85 from Nizamabad, 68 from Peddapally, 45 from Siricilla, 171 from Rangareddy, 67 from Sangareddy, 82 each from Siddipet, 87 from Suryapet, 17 from Vikarabad, 38 from Wanaparthy, 42 from Warangal Rural, 95 from Warangal Urban and 57 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
