In Madhya Pradesh, after 248 new cases of coronavirus have been reported, the number of infected cases in the state has gone up to 5,981. So far 270 people have died in the state. The virus has now spread to 49 of the state's 52 districts.
So far, 2,843 people have been cured of viral infections in Madhya Pradesh. The number of infected cases in Indore, the most affected district in the state, has reached 2,774. Bhopal now has 1 thousand 115 COVID-19 patients while Ujjain has 481 patients, Khandwa 208, Burhanpur 206 and Jabalpur 192 patients. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government
announced that barbers' shops and parlours can resume business in the green zone of the state. The Govt has issued a standard operating protocol for them.
Principal Secretary, Home, S N Mishra informed that as per the SOP, those having fever, cold, cough or sore throat will not be allowed to visit these establishments. Hand sanitizer should be placed at the entry of such shops and the staff must use masks, head covers and aprons. All the tools and equipment used at hair-cutting salons and parlours should be sanitized after every use.
