The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra crossed the 10 lakh-mark with a spike of 24,886 fresh positive cases, and 393 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
On Friday, the state recorded the highest number of positive cases till date.
The total number of cases in the state is 10,15,681, including 7,15,023 discharged, 2,71,566 active patients and 28,724 dead, the state health department said.
Around 14,308
patients were discharged on Friday. According to officials, Maharashtra has recorded a recovery rate of 70.4 per cent so far. The death rate on Friday was recorded at 2.83 per cent, health officials said.
At least 50,72,521 tests have been conducted so far, out of which 10,15,681 people tested positive. The infecting rate is now 20 per cent, according to reports.
Some 16,47,742 people are in home quarantine, and 38,487 are under institutional quarantine.
