Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,511 new Covid-19 infections and 11 fatalities till Friday, taking the overall toll to 877 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,38,395. As on Friday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 32,915.
A total of 2,579 persons have recovered by Friday, pushing the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,04,603 with a recovery rate of 75.5 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 77.24 per cent.
Between Thursday and Friday, the health authorities conducted 62,132 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 3,145 samples are awaited. Overall, so far authorities have conducted 16, 67, 653 Covid-19 tests.
A total of 25,729 patients are under home isolation across the State while 7,186 cases are in
institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 23 from Adilabad, 93 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 305 from areas under GHMC, 85 from Jagtiyal, 38 from Jangaon, 12 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 27 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 60 from Kamareddy, 150 from Karimnagar, 142 from Khammam, 23 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 42 from Mahabubnagar, 58 from Mahabubabad, 73 from Mancherial, 42 from Medak, 134 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 18 from Mulugu, 40 from Nagarkurnool, 170 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 31 from Nirmal, 93 from Nizamabad, 65 from Peddapally, 72 from Siricilla, 184 from Rangareddy, 70 from Sangareddy, 80 each from Siddipet, 96 from Suryapet, 19 from Vikarabad, 40 from Wanaparthy, 36 from Warangal Rural, 96 from Warangal Urban and 78 cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
