Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 2,751 new Covid-19 infections and nine fatalities on Friday, pushing the overall toll to 808 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 1,20,166. The total active cases as on Friday night in the State was 30,008.
Between Thursday and Friday, the health authorities conducted 62,300 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 1010 samples are awaited. A total of 1675 persons have recovered on Friday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 89,350 with a recovery rate of 74.3 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 76.49 per cent.
Overall, so far authorities have conducted 12,66,643 Covid-19 tests in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 1,20,166 have tested positive and 89,350 persons have recovered.
Out of the 30,008 active Covid positive patients, as many as 23,049 Covid-19
positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,959 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 30 from Adilabad, 72 from Bhadradri, 432 from areas under GHMC, 88 from Jagtiyal, 42 from Jangaon, 14 from Bhupalapally, 39 from Gadwal, 65 from Kamareddy, 192 from Karimnagar, 132 from Khammam, 14 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 64 from Mahabubnagar, 75 from Mahabubabad, 86 from Mancherial, 35 from Medak, 128 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 22 Mulugu, 54 from Nagarkurnool, 147 from Nalgonda, 16 from Narayanpet, 43 from Nirmal, 113 from Nizamabad, 97 from Peddapally, 48 from Siricilla, 185 from Rangareddy, 42 from Sangareddy, 96 from Siddipet, 111 from Suryapet, 17 from Vikarabad, 63 from Wanaparthy, 30 from Warangal Rural, 101 from Warangal Urban and 58 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
