2,924 more new Covid-19 cases in Odisha

Odisha saw the biggest single day increase in Covid-19 cases on Sunday with 2924 persons testing positive pushing the tally to 60,050, while 10 more fatalities pushed the toll to 343, a health department official said.

With detection of new positive cases, fresh fatalities



and recoveries, the number of active cases in Odisha now stands at 17,377.

The state saw recovery of 1,550 patients taking the number of persons cured of the pandemic to 42,277, which is 70.40 per cent of Odishas total caseload against Saturday's recovery rate of 71.29 per cent.
