Telangana registered 316 fresh coronavirus positive cases on Sunday pushing the total number of cases to 2,81,730 while the recovery count touched 2,73,625 with the recovery of 612 persons in a single day. Meanwhile, the death toll went up to 1,515 with two new persons dying of the virus in the last 24 hours.
At present, there are 6,590 active cases in the state out of which 4,467 are in home or institutional isolation. Between Saturday and Sunday, 32,714 samples were tested including 14,394 on primary contacts and 3,925 on secondary contacts. However, the results of 316 turned positive and the reports of 554 are awaited. So far, 64,75,766 tests have been conducted in the
state.
The positive cases reported across the state include 86 from GHMC, 30 from Rangareddy, 22 from Medchal Malkajgiri,18 each from Karimnagar and Warangal Urban, 14 from Sangareddy, 13 from Khammam, 12 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 8 each from Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda and Vikarabad, 6 each from Adilabad, Jagtial, Nizamabad and Siddipet, 5 each from Warangal Rural and Rajanna Sircilla, 4 each from Peddapalli and Jangaon, 3 each from Mahabubabad and Suryapet, 2 each from Medak and Nirmal, one each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Komarambheem Asifabad, Wanaparthy and Yadadri Bhongir and zero cases from Kamareddy and Narayanpet.
