34 new Covid-19 cases reported in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 34 fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported since yesterday. Six patients also recovered. A total of 324 cases have been reported in the islands out of which 182 have recovered and there are 142 active cases. No death has been reported so far.

Governor Admiral DK Joshi appealed to follow the guidelines and avoid unnecessary travel.

Yesterday, police arrested 26 people including 23 members of Lion's Club and the hotel manager under section 51 of NDMA Act in Port Blair for violating the social distancing norms.
