Hyderabad: Five Covid-19 related fatalities and 38 new positive cases were reported in Telangana on Thursday. The health officials today discharged 23 Covid-19 patients who have recovered at Gandhi Hospital.
Of the new cases reported today, 26 were from Hyderabad, two persons from Ranga Reddy district and 10 migrants.
The total number Covid-19 fatalities in the State reached 45 while the overall number of coronavirus positive cases stood at 1699.
So far, since the travel exemptions were introduced, 99 migrants who returned here from other States, have tested positive. At present, there are 618 active coronavirus positive patients who are admitted to Gandhi
Hospital.
Overall, since the first coronavirus case was detected on March 2 in Telangana, 1699 persons have tested positive, 45 Covid-19 positive persons have died and 1036 Covid-19 positive persons have recovered and were discharged from Gandhi Hospital.
According to the health officials, at present, there are 25 districts in the State that have not reported a single coronavirus positive case in the last 14 days. The districts include Karimnagar, Siricilla, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Bhupalpally, Nagarkurnool, Mulugu, Peddapally, Siddipet, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Suryapet, Narayanpet, Warangal urban, Gadwal, Jangaon and Nirmal.
