Haryana reported nine new coronavirus deaths and 390 new cases with a span of 24 hours, the state’s health department said on Monday---a development that takes the state tally to 11,025 with 169 deaths.
 
Five of the nine deaths were from Faridabad, an official bulletin said. Gurugram reported two other deaths, Jhajjar and Rewari each reported a death.

Gurugram and Faridabad, both districts that fall under the national capital region, together account for some 66 per cent of Haryana’s death toll and over 60 per cent of the state’s cases.  

Haryana now has 4,940 active cases, and 5,916 COVID-19 patients have been released from hospitals after recovery.
