In Tamil Nadu, the number of COVID-19 patients under treatment has further dipped to 15,085. The new cases in the last 24-hours have also come down marginally to 1652, including 492 in Chennai. With the situation improving, the famous tourism destination in the state, Kodaikanal has fully opened up for the guests since yesterday.
Kodaikanal is one of the most famous all-weather hill resort towns in the country. For the past two months, guests were allowed only partially, in a few places there, due to the Covid-19-led restrictions.
They
included the three farms and parks like the Bryant Park being managed by the state horticulture department and the Coakers Walk. The other scenic places being administered by the forest department remained closed so far.
However, the officials have reopened them also now, including the Moir Point, Pine Forests and the Guna Caves. With this, the whole assortment of about 35 picnic spots there has become accessible for tourists. It is the latest to join the tourist places in Tamil Nadu to have full access for guests.
