540 new Covid-19 cases reported in Jammu & Kashmir

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, yesterday recorded 540 fresh positive cases of Coronavirus pandemic, taking the total number of positive cases to 19,419. 11 more deaths were reported due to COVID-19, thus taking the number of people who died of the infection in the UT to 352 including 327 from Kashmir and 25 from Jammu division.

With 540 new cases, the tally of positive cases in the UT has reached to 19,419 including 15,201 from Kashmir and 4,218 from Jammu division. 

Among the new cases, 389 are reported from Kashmir while 151 are from



Jammu division. The total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 15,201 including 9,086 recoveries and 327 fatalities while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 4,218 including 2,236 recoveries and 25 deaths.

Further, the total number of active cases in the UT are 7,749 including 5,792 from Kashmir and 1,957 from Jammu division. Moreover, with 437 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in the UT has reached to 11,322 which is 58.30 per cent of the total cases which was over 63 per cent a few days ago.
