5,503 new COVID-19 cases and 92 deaths in Karnataka

Karnataka on Wednesday reported 5,503 new cases of COVID-19 and 92 related fatalities, taking the total number of infections to 1,12,504 and the death toll to 2,147, the health department said.

The day also saw 2,397 patients getting discharged after recovery.

 

Out of 5,503 fresh cases reported today, a whopping 2,270 cases were



from Bengaluru urban alone.

This is the sixth consecutive day that the state is reporting over 5,000 fresh cases. 

As of July 29 evening, cumulatively 1,12,504 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state, which includes 2,147 deaths and 42,901 discharges, the health department said in its bulletin.
