Mumbai: The daily Covid-19 deaths dropped to 151 and infections came down to 5,508 in Maharashtra on Sunday, even as 4,895 patients were discharged after full recovery from various hospitals across the state.
After the fatalities remained static at 187 for two consecutive days, the daily deaths came down to 151, while the infections came down from 6,061 on Saturday to 5,508 on Sunday.
With 151 fresh fatalities, the total number of deaths in the state increased from 1,33,845 to 1,33,996, while the infections -- with 4,895 new cases –
climbed from 63,47,820 to 63,53,328.
As 4895 patients were discharged from the hospitals across the state after full recovery, the total number of people discharged from the hospitals since the second week of March last year increased from 61,39,493 to 61,44,388. The recovery rate in the state dropped from 96.72 per cent to 96.71 per cent.
The total “active cases” in the state increased from 71,050 to 71,510. The fatality rate in the state stood static at 2.1 per cent.
