57 Covid-19 positive cases reported in Manipur

In Manipur, 57 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours. They are all returnees from other states. The positive cases are being shifted to the COVID Care facility. The total number of positive cases went up to 898 while the number of active cases in the state reached to 648.

A press release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Centre, Manipur yesterday said, the five health care workers - two medical officers, one nurse from a hospital and two nurses from a Quarantine Centre were confirmed of COVID-19 positive late last



night. The State Government has clarified that there is no community transmission stage of COVID-19 in Manipur as on date.

In Meghalaya, two persons have tested positive for COVID-19. In a tweet, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed that those two persons came from Uttar Pradesh to South West Garo Hills district in a private vehicle and are now under home quarantine.

With two new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases is 46 with eight active cases in the state.
