625 new COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh

The number of fresh coronavirus came down to 625 in Andhra Pradesh even as the cumulative count rose to 8,67,063 on Saturday.

The latest bulletin said 1,186 patients got cured and five more succumbed in 24 hours ending 9 am today.

The number of active cases fell to 11,571 after a sum of 8,48,511 recoveries and 6,981 deaths, the bulletin added.

Only Krishna district reported 103 fresh Covid-19 cases in a



day while all other districts added less than 100 cases each to their tally.

Krishna, along with West Godavari, reported two fresh fatalities while Visakhapatnam added one.

As per government data, the overall infection positivity rate in AP now stood at 8.70 per cent after a total of 99.62 lakh sample tests.

The recovery rate improved to 97.86 per cent while the mortality rate remained stable at 0.81 per cent.
