In Madhya Pradesh, more than 30 lakh tests have been conducted in the state so far while around 700 hundred new cases have been reported in the past 24 hours.
At the same time, the number of patients recovering in the state is more than the number of infected persons since many days.
A total of 26, 191 samples have been tested on Wednesday.
The positivity rate in the state has come down to around 2.6 per cent.
The positivity rate means the number of people testing positive per 100 samples.
On the other hand, the death toll in the
state reached 2,987.
However, 46 districts have reported less than 20 new infections a day while more than 40 districts have not reported any new death.
It was the seventh consecutive day, when the number of people recovering from the Corona infection, outnumbered those testing positive.
With 884 people beating the virus on Wednesday, the tally of recovered cases reached more than one lakh 63 thousand.
Bhopal reported the highest 179 new cases, followed by Indore with 52 cases and Gwalior with 48 new cases of COVID-19.
