In Karnataka 8,580 people recovered from the COVID-19 and discharged from various hospitals in the State Yesterday. The total number of recoveries have gone up to 6,28,588. The State reported 7,542 new COVID-19 cases yesterday taking the tally to 7,51,390.
Yesterday 73 COVID-19 patients lost their lives and the total fatalities in the State have increased to 10,356. There are 1,12,427 active patients taking treatment across the State. As many as 1,05,891 covid tests were conducted yesterday and the total number of tests have gone up to 64,61,694.
Among the new cases Bengaluru Urban reported with 3,441 followed by Mysuru 404, Bengaluru Rural 345 and
Belagavi 289. Amid Covid-19 pandemic the world famous Mysuru Dasara festival begins today. The ten days festival will be inaugurated by the noted Cardiologist Dr.C.N.Manjunath atop Chamundi hill this morning. Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee has given recommendations to the government for conducting Dasara in Mysuru.
Accordingly Mysuru Dasara inauguration shall be limited to 200 people, cultural programmes in the evening for 8 days shall be limited to local artists with an audience of 50 people. Only 300 people will be allowed for the world renowned Jamboo savari with all Covid precautions on the concluding day.
