879 fresh infections found in Telangana, tally jumps to 5109

A total of 879 Covid-19 positive cases including 652 from areas under Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), and three fatalities were reported in Telangana on Tuesday.

According to the health bulletin issued by the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, in terms of new positive cases, Hyderabad was followed by



Medchal district with 112 cases while 64 cases were reported from Rangareddy district.

The health authorities tested 3,006 samples on Tuesday and discharged 219 recovered persons from government hospitals taking the total number of discharges to 4,224 in the State. The number of active Covid-19 infections in the State now stands at 5,109.
