8,852 new Covid-19 cases reported in Karnataka

In Karnataka 8,852 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Sunday taking the tally to 3,35,928.

 

Bengaluru city reported the highest number of 2,821 followed by Ballari 428, Davangare 373 and Belagavi with 357. 

 

7,101 people recovered and discharged from various hospitals in the state and the total number of recovered people have gone up to 2,42,229.

 

The State recovery rate has risen to 72.11 percent. 

 

In all



88,091 active covid patients are taking treatment in the State. So far 5,589 covid patients lost their life, among them 106 people died on Sunday.

 

The State mortality rate has dipped to 1.66 percent.

 

66,957 covid tests were conducted in the State on Sunday and the total number of tests have gone up to 28,52,675. 

 

730 patients are in ICU in the State among them 285 were reported from Bengaluru.
