982 new infections of cornavirus in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh reported its highest single-day spike on Friday with 982 new cases of coronavirus. Of the new cases, maximum, 140, have been reported from Ghaziabad, followed by 96 from Noida and 70 from Lucknow.

As many as 376 patients were discharged from hospitals after full recovery on Friday, increasing the total number of cured



cases in the state to 17,597.

Meanwhile, the state has reported 749 Covid-19 deaths so far, according to the information given by the Uttar Pradesh health department.

Uttar Pradesh currently has 7,451 active cases of coronavirus, including 1,045 in Ghaziabad, 1,005 in Noida, 469 in Lucknow and 296 in Kanpur.
