Andhra Pradesh detects 10,776 new Covid-19 infections

Andhra Pradesh on Friday reported 10,776 new Covid-19 cases, making it a record tenth consecutive day of reporting more than 10,000 cases a day and over a lakh cases in just last ten days.

The latest count pushed Andhra's tally to 476,506, including 102,067 active



cases, the second-highest in the country after Maharashtra.

The state public health bulletin on Friday evening said 76 more persons had succumbed to the infection in the 24 hours till Friday morning, pushing the death toll in the state on account of COVID-19 to 4,276.
