Andhra Pradesh has reported 19 more new Covid-19 cases yesterday, taking the total number of cases to 348 in the State. The new cases recoved were reported from Anantapur, Guntur, Prakasam and West Godavari Districts. The Positive Cases in Andhra Pradesh have gone up to 348. With 75 Cases Kurnool District has the highest number of cases, Guntur with 49.
A total 09 patients have been recovered fully and discharged so fare in the State. The Andhra Pradesh Govt. has come up with a novel way to control the Virus outbreak. It has inducted 4.5 lakh volunteers and secretaries from 11,158 village secretariats and 3,786 ward secretariats into Corona Warriors. As part of the corona control measures, all volunteers are conducting a house to house survey. The Asha and ANM workers along with the volunteers are checking if people have come into contact with any foreign returnees or exhibit any Corona virus symptoms.
In Madhya Pradesh, corona infected patients were reported in many new districts including Vidisha, Raisen and Betul. The number of affected people in the state has increased to 341 so far. The maximum number of 173 cases was reported in Indore and 94 in Bhopal. So far 24 people have died in the state and 25 people have discharged from hospitals. Meanwhile, Indian Railways’ Coach Rehabilitation Workshop, Bhopal has developed a mobile doctor booth named Charak with zero contact check-up facility.
In Kerala, 9 more Covid 19 positive cases are confirmed taking the total number of patients in the.State to 259 which is the lowest figure in last two days.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that
the State cabinet had approved for the creation of 273 posts in the newly formed Exclusive Covid hospital in Kasargode.Free food kit for tribal people will be distributed from today. Meanwhile, 5 helpdesk is formed in countries where more keralites are infected. Online medical facility will be made available for them through which they can consult doctors in Kerala through audio or video calls.
In Tamil Nadu, the number of Covid-19 cases went up to 738 with 48 people reported positive yesterday. 21 have been discharged after cure including a 74 year old senior citizen while the death toll has gone up to eight with one more death in Vellore. Test results in 344 cases are still awaited.
In Gujarat, a total number of confirmed cases for Covid 19 reached 186 with 7 new cases reported yesterday. State Health Department said 5 amongst these cases were from Vadodara while 2 were reported from Bhavnagar. Principal Secretary Health department Jayanti Ravi said 143 Covid 19 patients are stable and 2 are on the ventilator.
Out of the total confirmed cases, 83 cases were reported from Ahmedabad followed by Surat 23, Bhavnagar and Vadodara with 18 cases each. Meanwhile, around 100 staffers including doctors of one of the largest hospital of Ahmedabad were quarantined after a 40 year-old male patient tested positive for Covid 19.
Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation yesterday completed thermal screening of around 20 thousand people living in Wall City of Ahmedabad which was declared as a buffer zone by AMC. Samples of around 550 residents were also taken for the further investigation
