Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh has reached a new peak this year. The state has registered 4,228 new cases on Tuesday. After the recent surge in cases, the active caseload has also breached the 25,000 mark and now stands at 25,850. This new spike in cases is the highest recorded in a period of six months.
According
to the latest bulletin released by the state's health department, 1,483 patients managed to recover from the disease. However, ten fatalities were also reported in 24 hours ending 9 am on Tuesday. The gross COVID-19 positives in Andhra Pradesh has now risen to 9,32,892, recoveries 8,99,721 and deaths 7,321, the bulletin said.
