Andhra Pradesh has reported its first death of a 55-year old man due to the COVID-19. His samples tested positive. It was the first death of Corona patient in the State after the first case was reported on 12th of March.
According to the Health Bulletin, the deceased’s son had returned to Vijayawada from New Delhi, after attending the religious congregation at Markaz Nizamuddin. Three more were added to the tally till late last night. Out of the three positive cases, two were from East Godavri District and one from
Visakhapaatnam.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the State Government will get two more testing Centres at Kakinada and Guntur.
Krishna District has witnessed a significant rise in Corona cases to 23, with Vijayawada city alone reporting 18. Three major hotspots have been identified in the Vijayawada City where the prevalence of the pandemic was high and accordingly the authorities are taking steps to curb the disease.
