Assam reports 33 fresh COVID-19 cases, state tally count 2,868

Assam on Tuesday reported 33 new positive cases of coronavirus and a virus-related death that took the state's death toll to five and the total tally to 2,868.

"33 new #COVID19+ cases reported. 17 Tinsukia, 4

Jorhat, 3 Barpeta, 2 Chirang, 2 Karbi Anglong, 2 Nagaon, 1 Baksa, 1 Golaghat, 1 Majuli. Total cases 2868." Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

The state had registered 154 Covid-19 positive cases on June 8.
