In Bihar, recovery rate of Covid 19 has reached 84 percent. This is about 8 percent more than the national average. With increasing of discharge rate of Covid patients from hospital the active case dropped to 19 thousand 651. Altogether 1 lakh 4,531 people have recovered so far across the state, 3,169 of them in last 24 hours. Positive cases mounted to 1 lakh 24,827 with fresh cases of 1,444. Positivity rate has now been declined to 1.9 percent. 262 positive cases were reported from Patna in last 24 hours.
In other districts positive cases are below hundred during this period. The COVID-19 death toll in Bihar
rose to 644. The number of testing has crossed 25 lakh in the state. From today more tests will be done ,as focus will be on primary health centres, containment zones, flood relief camps and community kitchens in flood affected areas. Meanwhile, the state government has taken decision to give incentive to those PG students and MBBS interns who are treating Covid patients in medical college hospitals. PG students will get incentive of rupees 60 thousand while inters will get rupees 15 thousand. This decision was taken in cabinet meeting which was chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
