Raipur: In Chhattisgarh, the average test positivity rate has exceeded 9 percent amidst increasing cases of corona infection. Yesterday, more than 5 thousand new cases of corona infection were recorded in the state. At present, there are about 24 thousand active cases of corona infection. Meanwhile, the state government has issued new guidelines in view of the spread of infection.

According to the guidelines issued by the Chhattisgarh government, the officers and employees of the Secretariat and all the heads of the offices of the capital Raipur can work from home. These officers and employees have been asked not to leave the headquarters without prior permission and also, stay in touch with their concerned officials through mobile



phones. 

Besides, the state health department has also issued new guidelines regarding discharge from home isolation. According to this, corona infected patients undergoing treatment in home isolation can be discharged in at least 7 days from the date of their being found positive if they do not have fever for the last 3 days. There is no need to do a corona test before the discharge of such patients. 

Meanwhile, the number of people who got the first dose of the Covid vaccine in the state has crossed the 2 crore mark. 98 per cent of people above 18 years of age and 48 percent of people in the age group of 15 to 18 years have been vaccinated against Covid- 19.
