The number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra reached to 2334 with 352 new patients being detected. A state health department statement also said that 11 coronavirus patients died during the day, including 9 in Mumbai. With this, the death toll due to COVID-19 in the state rose to 160.
Out of the 2334 positive patients, 1703 are in Mumbai, followed by 295
from Pune. As many as 43,199 persons have been tested in the state so far. As many as 229 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Meantime, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan provided 25,000 PPE kits to the frontline medical staff in Maharashtra fighting to contain the novel coronavirus pandemic in the state.
