Coronavirus Cause: Anupama Nadella wife of Microsoft CEO donates Rs 2 crore to Telangana

Microsoft chief executive officer (CEO) Satya Nadella's wife Anupama Venugopal Nadella on Tuesday announced a donation of Rs 2 crore in the wake of the growing menace of the novel coronavirus in Telangana.

Satya Nadella's wife Anupama Venugopal Nadella announced the donation to help with the supply of essential commodities to those in need



during the lockdown period.

A cheque for Rs 2 crore was handed over to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao by Anupama's father KR Venugopal who is a former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.

Government employees and teachers have also donated a day's basic salary amounting to Rs 48 crore to the CM Welfare Fund.
