In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the toll of positive cases of COVID-19 has gone up to 879 as 18 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported yesterday. Out of the new cases, 12 are reported from Kashmir Division whereas 06 are reported from Jammu Division. Now the toll of positive COVID-19 cases in Jammu Division are 77 whereas the toll of positive cases in Kashmir Division has climbed to 802.
Furthermore, Jammu and Kashmir registered 10th death due to Corona virus yesterday. The death occurred at Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar where an ailing old-age patient from Alamgari Bazar area
of Srinagar died yesterday afternoon. He was suffering from pancreatic cancer and had other comorbidities. The deceased patient was father of a 32-year old young man who died of the same infection at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar four days ago. Out of 879 positive cases, 442 are Active Positive, 427 have recovered and 10 have died.
Moreover, the UT of J&K breaks the 3000 tests a day barrier as more than 3,600 samples were tested on Monday. The positivity rate of the UT stands at 2.1 per cent whereas the Mortality rate stands at 1.3 per cent.
