Country's COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to around 93 per cent. The Health Ministry in a statement said, the total recovered cases stand at 81 lakh 15 thousand and 580.India’s active caseload of COVID-19 has dropped below 4.85 Lakhs and currently it stands at 4 lakh 84 thousand 547. This has been made possible by the trend of recoveries exceeding new cases which has ensured a total net reduction of the Active Caseload.
The Ministry said, in contrast to 44 thousand 879 new reported cases, 49 thousand and 79 cases have recovered in the last 24 hours which continues India’s trend of
having daily high recoveries that outnumber the daily new cases.
The total number of positive cases in the country has reached over 87 lakh. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.47 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally. During the last 24 hours, 547 deaths were reported taking the toll to one lakh 28 thousand 668.
According to Indian Council of Medical Research, more than 11 lakh 39 thousand tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. The total number of samples tested so far has reached 12 crore 31 lakh.
