New Delhi, A total of 1,074 COVID-19 patients were cured in the last 24 hours, the highest in a day,  Union Health Ministry said here on Monday. As many as 2,553 fresh Novel Coronavirus cases surfaced in the past 24 hours, and 1074 patients were cured in last 24 hours,  Union Health Ministry Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal said in a press briefing here.

COVID-19 cases and 1,074 recoveries (highest in 1 day), Mr Agarwal said.He said the total number of pandemic cases so far is  42,533 while total of 11,706 patients have been cured and total recovery rate is 27.52 percent.

'Total number of recoveries are 11,706 and recovery rate is 27.52 percent,' he said. Mr Agarwal said number of people under active medical supervision are 29,453.
