Telangana registered 238 fresh coronavirus cases and two deaths until 8 pm on Sunday taking the cumulative tally to 2,87,740 and the fatalities to 1,551. On the other hand, the total recoveries touched 2,81,083 with fresh 518 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
At present, there are 5,106 active cases out of which 2,942 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Saturday and Sunday, 27,077 tests were conducted including 11,913 on primary contacts and 3,249 on secondary contacts. So far, 70,18,564 tests have been conducted in the state since the pandemic broke out.
The positive
cases reported across the state include 60 from GHMC, 26 from Rangareddy, 20 from Warangal Urban, 15 each from Karimnagar and Medchal Malkajgiri, 8 from Mancherial, 7 from Sangareddy, 6 from Nalgonda, 5 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jagtial, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, 4 each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Nirmal, Suryapet and Warangal Rural, 3 each from Adilabad, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet and Vikarabad, 2 each from Kamareddy, Mulugu and Yadadri Bhongir, one each from Komarambheem Asifabad, zero cases from Wanaparthy and Narayanpet.
