Covid-19 active caseload further comes down to 15,278 in Odisha

In Odisha, the covid-19 active caseload has further come down to 15278. With the recovery of 2003 patients on Monday, the total recovery has increased to 266105 as against a cumulative total of 282695 infection in the state.

 

Odisha's covid-19 dashboard reflects a positivity rate of 6.49 per cent as of today.

 

In terms of numbers, while fewer persons are getting infected with the daily cases plunging below 1500,  more patients are getting



recovered.

 

However, the sustained slide in positive cases doesn't reflect a proportionate slump in fatalities which continue to stay put in the range of 14 to 18 per day for the last few days.

 

Of course, the state health administration, with a view to cutting down on covid-19 fatalities, has already been promoting convalescent plasma and favipiravir antiviral therapies as life-saving medical interventions.
