Covid-19 cases gone up to 2,364 in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, the number of COVID 19 infected persons has gone up to 2364 with 102 new persons found positive yesterday. 26 cases reported from Jaipur taking the number of infected persons to 859. 25 persons tested positive in Jodhpur, 24 in Kota, 11 in Ajmer, 8 in Tonk, Four in Dholpur, one each case reported in Banswara, Nagaur, Sikar and Udaipur. 52 persons died due to COVID 19. About one third of the total infacted have been cured so far and 584 have been discharged from the hospitals.

 

90 years old Patient of Jaipur Bhawani Shankar Sharma also tested positive to negative and he was discharged from the SMS hospital yesterday. Health department has been launched ‘Mission life



saving’ campaign in the Containment Zones across the state to minimize deaths due to corona infection. Under the campaign department is focusing on high risk group, which includes people above 60 years of age, persons having severe illness, pregnant women and children below 10 years.

 

Instructions have been issued to conduct survey in all containment zones to compile the data of high risks group. An ambulance will be deployed permanently within a radius of two kilometres in the identified Containment Zones, A comprehensive public awareness programme is also being started to aware such people about the threat of COVID 19.
