Covid-19 cases gone up to 8,195 in Gujarat state

In Gujarat, total number of Covid-19 cases has gone up to 8,195 with 398 new cases reported during the past 24 hours. According Health officials, 5,126 patients are stable while 31 patients are on ventilator support. 21 patients have lost their lives during last 24 hours taking the total death toll of Covid19 in the state to 493. In an online briefing, Principal Secretary of State Health and Family Welfare department Dr. Jayanti Ravi said that patient discharged rate has increased to almost double during last 10 days.

 

Maximum 266 patients have



been discharged from Ahmedabad city alone, while 41 patients discharged from Vadodara. According to health department sources, Gujarat has improved its patients discharge rate from 15.58 percent to 32.64 percent during the last 10 days. New discharge rate is not only higher than half a dozen states but also above the national average. After the discharge of total 2545 patients, the state has now 5,157 active Covid19 cases. Good news is that many senior citizens also included in 454 patients discharged yesterday.
