In Telangana, with 49 more people testing positive for Coronavirus, the total number of reported Covid-19 cases increased to 453 last evening. State Medical and Health department in its daily bulletin stated that total 397 active positive cases are under treatment at present. This includes 45 people who recovered and were discharged from hospital.
Speaking to media in Hyderabad state Health Minister E Rajender informed that there is no evidence of community transmission of the virus so far in the state. He further said over 11 hundred people who returned from Markaz congregation in Delhi, have been tested and over 3 thousand primary contacts have been traced and
quarantined.
Meanwhile, the measures to contain the virus have been taken up in all affected districts where positive cases were reported. Lock Down norms have been made stringent in the Containment Zones, where positive cases reported, and people are required to remain indoors. Local officials are ensuring doorstep delivery of essential commodities.
Meanwhile, the state government has been identifying over 15 thousand beds in 22 private hospitals for treatment across the state. It has also procured medical equipment like PPEs, masks and ventilators and medicines as part of preparedness of any exigency
