Covid-19 cases rise to 23,017 in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the number of Covid-19 cases has gone up to 23,017 with 511 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. 29 patients have lost their lives taking the death toll to 1,478. 442 patients were discharged yesterday after recovery.

Following the discharge of 442 patients yesterday, the total number of patients recovered from Covid19 has gone up to 16,333. According to official sources, out of 5779 active cases in the state, conditions of 5713 are stable while 66 patients are on ventilator support. Out of 511 new cases reported



yesterday, the maximum 334 cases reported from Ahmedabad alone.

Apart from this, 76 new cases reported from Surat while 42 cases reported from Vadodara. Sources said that more than 2lakh 88 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that the Government is not considering reimposing lockdown again in the state. In a statement issued last night, he appealed to the people to not to believe in such rumours.
