In Rajasthan, the death rate of Covid-19 has fallen to 0.91 percent. More than 2 thousand 100 people have died due to the disease in the state so far. 73 percent of these deaths occurred in urban areas.
The government has decided to provide pulse oximeters to ASHA Sahyoginis in view of the increasing numbers of the infections in rural areas.
573 people have died in rural areas of the state due to the infection so far. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that people in rural areas should not take this disease lightly. They should wear masks and
fully comply with other health protocols.
The state government has also decided to provide pulse oximeters to all ASHA Sahyoginis, so that the oxygen level of the people can be checked in the villages. Mr. Gehlot has urged private hospitals to increase the number of beds for Covid patients and provide treatment at rates fixed by the state government.
Meanwhile, 2 thousand 178 people tested positive in the state yesterday. The number of active cases in the state has also increased to more than 19 thousand.
