Covid-19 death toll rises to 1,038 in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the death toll due to Covid-19 has gone up to 1,038 with 31 new deaths reported during last 24 hours. 20 patients died in Ahmedabad alone. The number of Covid-19 cases in the state has gone up to 16,794 with 438 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. Out of 5837 active cases, the conditions of 5776 patients are stable while 61 patients are on ventilator support.

Number of active cases in the state are decreasing with more patients are being discharged from the hospitals. With 689 patients discharged



yesterday, the total number of discharged patients after recovery has gone up to 99.19.

Meanwhile, new guidelines for unlock one is being effective from today. State Transport Buses will operate with 60 percent capacity, while city bus services will run with 50 percent passengers. State Government has issued the new list of Containment zones, in which number of houses and its population have been put under the restrictions instead of entire areas or wards.
