In Odisha, covid-19 recovery has gone up to 293741. A total of 1264 patients recovered yesterday as against 986 new infection taking the cumulative covid-19 infection to 305986. Covid-19 fatalities in the state have also increased to 1483.

Odisha is now witnessing a short of viral recession as evidenced by the incremental decrease in the covid-19 active caseload down below 12 thousand.

In yet another positive development, as many as  46.39 % of the dwellers of the millennium city of Cuttack have developed antibodies against the virus. This was disclosed by the Regional Medical

Research Centre in capital Bhubaneswar yesterday while sharing the findings of the shero survey undertaken by it in the city between the second to the fifth of this month. A similar sero-prevalence study by the Regional Medical Research Centre in capital Bhubaneswar a few days ago had also come out with at least 50% of its residents having developed viral antibodies.

Despite such encouraging findings, the state government has been discouraging people against any sort of human behaviour like crowding that might cause the virus to strike back, particularly during the on going winter
