Covid-19 recovery rate close to 77 percent in Bihar

In Bihar, 3,585 people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, 88 thousand 163 people have been cured of COVID-19 in the state so far. Covid-19 recovery rate in the state is now close to 77 percent. The number of active cases in Bihar is 26, 473 patients. 2,451 fresh infections took the state's total coronavirus count to 1 lakh 15,210.

The COVID-19 death toll in Bihar rose to 574. Meanwhile, a two-member central team visited Nalanda Medical College and Hospital in



Patna, a dedicated Covid hospital to review the measures taken for treatment of patients.

The team, comprising Dr.Sanjaya Sudhakaran from All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health and Dr. Dependra Kumar from AIIMS in Patna, inspected facilities at the hospital and interacted with its staff. The report will be sent to the Centre.

The state government has fixed the rates for coronavirus treatment at private hospitals across the state.
