Covid-19 tally reaches 29,578 in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the total number of cases of Covid-19 detected so far has reached up to 29578 with 577 new cases reported during the last 24 hours. Quoting the State Health Department, 18 patients have lost their lives taking the total death due to Covid19 in the state up to 1754.

Following the discharge of 410 patients yesterday, the total number of patients recovered from Covid19 in the state has gone up to 21506.

According to official sources, out of 6318 active cases in the state, conditions of 6252 are stable while 66 patients are on ventilator. Out of 577 new cases reported



yesterday, the maximum 225 cases reported from Ahmedabad city. Apart from this, 152 new cases were reported from Surat, while 44 new cases were reported from Vadodara. More than 3 lakh 45 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date.

Meanwhile, Ahmedabad civil hospital has set up a permanent dome for the relatives of  Covid19 patients. Dome has all facilities like beds, water cooler, air cooler and television sets. Video calling facilities also provided to the relatives so that they can talk to the patients.
