COVID-19: Telangana records 62 new cases

In a surge in coronavirus cases, the health authorities have reported 62 Covid-19 positive cases and three more fatalities on Friday.

The reporting of 62 positive coronavirus cases is the second largest single day surge in Covid-19 cases after May 11, when authorities had reported 79 coronavirus positive cases.

The total number of Covid-19 positive cases in Telangana has reached 1761 while the overall number of fatalities has increased to 48. The health authorities on Friday also discharged seven Covid-19



patients, who had recovered at Gandhi Hospital.

Out of the positive cases reported yesterday, 42 persons were from areas under GHMC, 19 persons were migrants and one positive case was from Rangareddy district. The number of migrants who have tested positive for coronavirus has increased to 128 while the number of persons who have been discharged from Gandhi Hospital after treatment is 1043. At present, there are 670 active Covid-19 positive cases admitted to Gandhi Hospital.
