In Madhya Pradesh, the number of coronavirus cases in the state rose to 40 thousand 734 after 843 more people tested positive for the infection in the past 24 hours. The death toll due to the pandemic reached 1 thousand 33 with 18 patients succumbing yesterday.
The highest 176 new cases were reported from Indore, followed by 100 in Bhopal and 89 in Gwalior.
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra informed that 922 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery in the past 24 hours.

testing capacity is being increased continuously for quick identification of patients and their treatment in the state. 21 thousand 217 tests were conducted in the state yesterday. Overall, 9 lakh 31 thousand tests have been conducted so far in the state.
During the review meeting of the situation of Covid-19 and arrangements in the state through video conference, The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that arrangement of treatment for patients with minor symptoms should be made at home.
