In Tamil Nadu, five new Covid-19 cases have been identified, including four from Indonesia and a travel guide from Chennai. With this, the total number of infected cases has gone up to 23.
The four foreign nationals have been visiting various mosques in the state. After showing symptoms for coronavirus infections while touring Salem, they along with their guide showed themselves before the doctors in the Government Medical
College Hospital there last Sunday.
They were immediately put into the isolation ward. The test results today revealed that they are positive for the disease.
The district administration is making all-out efforts to trace all those who came into contact with the patients during their travel so that they could also be quarantined and monitored.
